It's no secret that I LOVE nature and I especially love trees. Everything about being outside in nature is an experience for the senses: The smells, the fresh air, the sounds, the views, etc. . . .
I relate to trees because I see everything in them that I want to be and that I am. I see how they stand resolute, strong, independent, and I know I want to be just like that. I also see their rough exteriors and edges in the texture of their bark, but I know beneath those exteriors there is something alive, sensitive, even tender-hearted; everything I know that I already am.
